R3
A personal, local-first AI assistant.
R3 is a private assistant that runs on its owner's own server. It answers from a language model running on that machine, keeps its memory in a plain folder of Markdown files on that machine, and is reachable only over its owner's private network.
It is a single-user application, not a service. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, and no other users — it is built and run by one person for their own use.
What it does
- Answers questions and holds conversations, by text and by voice.
- Remembers notes, facts and preferences in an Obsidian-compatible vault.
- Reads and adds calendar events and to-do items on its owner's request.
- Runs background tasks — research, summaries, scheduled reports.
Google Drive
R3 can store and retrieve its own files in its owner's Google Drive. It uses
the drive.file scope only, which means Google itself restricts it
to files R3 created. R3 cannot see, search or touch anything else in the
